Music Video Ideas

My California - Beth Hart

The lead would be a man, sad and lonely, who feels unappreciated and ignored in his day today life. There would be three settings; a train, an office and the lead's home. In each of these places something will happen to antagonise the lead and make him feel bad.

There will also be a sequence in each location which takes place inside the lead's mind. In his imagination, he is dressed as a soldier and subverts each confrontation so that it ends in his favour, with him looking like a hero.

While all of this is happening there will be shots of the lead writing a letter interspersed in the video. At the end it will be implied that the letter is a suicide note, but instead of committing suicide he throws the note away and walks off, dressed in his army fatigues.

Mr Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan

Over the past two years I've filmed a lot of different things. There's footage of experiences I've had and people I've met and lots of different things I've done and If I chose this song then I would make a montage of all this footage interspersed with video of me singing parts of the song. It would be much more simple than other videos but I think it would work well.

Sh! It's A Secret - Get Down

This video would be shot in my apartment and would be lots of footage of a party. People would be happy and upbeat and lots of them would sing the lyrics of the song. It would be like a music video from the early 90s that would likely have been shown on MTV.
